Last week I visited the lovely new Echo Park boutique, Myrtle. Owner/proprietress Whitney Bickers opened the boutique (named after her grandmother) late last year as a showcase for female indie designers & makers such as Dusen Dusen , Dull Diamond**, Shabd, Hetterson, MCMC Fragrances, and Mary Meyers, just to name a few. The store carries a carefully curated selection of products including home goods, books and periodicals, vintage and new clothing and accessories. There is an intentionally varied price range amongst these products, ensuring that there is almost certainly something for everyone's budget.

Whitney was an early supporter of my line, and actually donned an ERMIE skirt from my first full collection just for the occasion of my visit (so sweet & thoughtful). It makes me so happy to see someone following their dreams and Making. It. Happen.

If you are in L.A., please stop by Myrtle and support this fantastic new business (and perhaps you'll be seeing a little ERMIE at Myrtle sometime soon ;) .

Congratulations, Whitney!

** A Dull Diamond bracelet (and a super-cool vintage jacket hand selected for me by Whitney) came home with me from Myrtle. If you haven't already, you should also take a look at Dull Diamond's blog (gorgeous photography & fun layout) and colorful creations.

Natasha,
I'm not sure (bad blogger) but I'll try to find out!

Natasha- they are by A Peace Treaty

Cashmere, and apparently A Peace Treaty donates a percentage of their current sales to reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan. Beautiful & socially conscious!

(Thanks, Whitney, for the info).
